Adopt a School::
A unique program empowered by every technical know-how from Himwats Savidya with detailed information and step-by-step evaluation of proposed school(s).

The novelties introduced in Adopt-a-school program are summarized below:- One teacher per class in a separate room; starting from Kulethi in 2006.
- Physical Training Instruction through trained teachers.
- Compulsory Health check up, inoculations for age appropriate , health camps and every day Vitamins (earlier Ca) and Liv-52 (after de-worming medicines) to each child for 3 months.
- Music teachers and associated instruments Harmonium, Dholak, Tabla etc. and Supplementary articles( e.g. dresses for the cultural programs in addition to the normal uniforms
- Games and sports (both indoor and outdoor) and swings etc for the health care.
- Uniforms to give them self-confidence.
- Foundation for Excellence Scholarships after High School this year 101 students are getting through the involvement of several of our members working as facilitators and Coordinators.
- From 2007-08, the support a school program was extended to 6 schools along with other 4 programs.
Music Teachers
In music there is sound, tone, melody, harmony, rhythm, composition and
performance of various instruments/singers. By listening to
(correlating and understanding) these, the students (and potential students)
will have an overall better and enhanced understanding and mental development.
Presently, we have provided music teacher to
1) Primary School, Kulethi, Champawat
2) Primary School, Subhash Nagar, Haldwani.
The following music instruments have been provided to all the 8 schools:
1. Tabla
2. Harmonium
Physical Training
Games & sports help students in personality building & instill in them various traits like team sprit, perseverance, stress handling etc. All the government schools have a slot available for physical training; however children will enjoy playing sports much more than just working out. Realizing this we have provided various sports equipments to the adopted government schools which include football, cricket bat & balls, badminton rackets, volley balls etc.
Computer Teachers
Once there was this kid who came from a village to a town where he had to catch a train with his relative. Now, when he saw the trains, he said, "Wow!! You people have houses made of iron & running on wheels".
