- Learning and Science Resource Center Program
- Vocational Training Program
- Siddha Jagran Seva Program
This program was adopted to create awakening and interest in the local community about issues like education, health (esp. children's health), behavior and attitudes (esp. of children), children's rights, etc. The main function started with the celebration of National Science Day, 28th Feb 2009. Savidya also organizes 4 meetings during a year at the local level with parents/guardians, children and the senior citizens in the villages (in & around Champawat).
- Teachers Training Program
Teachers who are recruited by Savidya to provide additional teaching force to the adopted government schools have the requisite qualification for teaching the classes in a particular subject. However, sometimes they lack the teaching methodology & may have difficulties to teach some hard points on a particular course. For this purpose teachers training program has been organized by Savidya.
The government teachers are being given annual training in teaching methodology & course structure by District Institute of Education & Training (DIET) under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) - Learning and Science Resource Center Program
During 2005-06, Savidya approached Capt. Satish Sharma, Rajya Sabha MP, to provide funds for the construction of a Science Center from the Member of Parliament (Local Area Development) Scheme. The grant of Rs 6.0l Lakhs given graciously by hon. MP was used to construct the Science Resource Center building located within the premises of the Govt. Primary School in Kulethi. The building was ready by Feb 28 2008. This building contains a Rotating Library and a Science Resource Center. The Rotating Library had collected around 1200-book by July, 2008. The Science Center has become functional since May 07, 2008 on a regular basis to cater the needs of both the private and Government schools in the area.
- Vocational Training Program
We have been conducting vocational training for the under-privileged youths/adults on 1) Dress designing, knitting & Doll making 2) Computer basics. The program for fast food making couldn't be implemented due to unavailability of candidates for this program.
