Establishment of Outreach Program and Science Lab at Kulethi School

Himwats Savidya founder Professor HD Bist& Mr T K Bisht with the help of Prof H C Varma has already established such outreach program & Lab in CDLASRC Primary, Middle school complex Kulethi Champawat in 2008.
A Proven Educational Initiative with Due Credit and Field Experience
We are running this program at primary pathshala for long time. Professor Varma from iit Kanpur visited Kulethi school in Champawat after installation. You can visit that school and learn from it. We have 2 employees, who will be glad to show it. Please give credit, where it belongs to.
Himvats Committee Distributes Scholarships to Meritorious Students
Haldwani: Under its annual scholarship distribution programme, the Himalayan Water Service and Development & Environment Protection Committee (Himvats) distributed scholarships to meritorious students on Wednesday at Government Inter College, Narayannagar Kusumkheda, Haldwani. A total of 21 students received scholarships, which were presented by Member of Parliament Ajay Bhatt and Mayor Gajraj Bisht. This year, the committee is distributing scholarships worth a total of ₹2.64 lakh across various schools in the Kumaon region.
Speaking at the programme held at the school, the chief guest, MP Ajay Bhatt, said that the initiative being run by Himvats is highly commendable, as it will help underprivileged and meritorious students move forward. He also announced a grant of ₹2 lakh from the MPLAD (MP fund) for furniture and other facilities in the school. Special guest Mayor Gajraj Bisht praised the committee’s efforts and said that he would also arrange funds for the construction of an auditorium at Government Inter College, Kusumkheda.
On the occasion, Himvats Committee President Dr. K. K. Pandey informed that this year the committee is distributing scholarships worth ₹2.64 lakh to 135 students from 51 schools in the Kumaon region. He further stated that since 2005, the committee has distributed scholarships amounting to approximately ₹25.50 lakh to meritorious students. He added that the committee will continue to organise such programmes in an even better manner in the future.
Committee Secretary Dr. Govind Bisht elaborated on the committee’s service activities and said that these initiatives are carried out with the collective support of its members. During the event, school students presented colourful cultural programmes. Mahesh Khulve, Ganesh Pant, members of the Himvats Committee, along with the school principal and teachers, were also present at the programme.

International Women’s Day 2024
On March 7, 2024, Himvats organized International Women’s Day at C.D.L.A.S.R.C. Kulethi a day earlier due to the Shivaratri holiday on March 8. The chief guest of the event was Sister Jyoti, the main director of Brahma Kumari Ishwariya University, and the special guest was Dr. Rashmi Rawat, Principal of the Nursing College. The event was presided over by village head Dada Bisht Mr. Sundar Singh Negi and conducted by social worker Rajendra Gahtori.

Chief guest Sister Jyoti spoke about women’s rights, their contributions, and how personal transformation can lead to global change. Special guest Dr. Rashmi Rawat highlighted the importance of women in society and encouraged everyone to work for social betterment.

On this occasion, Junior School teacher Mrs. Kavita Verma actively participated in welcoming the guests and organizing the competitions. Various competitions for women from the region, such as Musical Chairs and Spoon Race, were organized. In Musical Chairs, Babita Negi secured the first position, Rita Rawat the second, and Champa Rawat the third. In the Spoon Race, Champa Rawat came first, Heera Bohra second, and Rita Rawat third.

The program saw significant contributions from rural women and students. Other attendees also participated, making the event special and providing full support to the organization. In the end, Mrs. Rashmi Rawat and Sister Jyoti expressed their gratitude to the organization for hosting the event.

Women who secured first, second, and third places were honored by the organization. The event was attended by senior village woman Mrs. Durga Rasyara, Headmaster of R.P.V. Kulethi Mr. Naveen Rasyara, Junior School teacher Mrs. Kamini Verma, Naresh Joshi, Munni Adhikari, volunteer Prakash Punetha, Pankaj Bohra, Sapna Bhandari, and various other rural women.
