Why donate
In the hills of Kumaon many children still go without decent classrooms, teaching materials and any access at all to a computer. A donation goes towards closing that gap.
Furniture, classrooms and the equipment a room needs before anything else works.
Computers and digital learning in schools that had none.
Fees adjusted to what a family can pay, and some children carried entirely.
Teacher training, health camps and awareness work alongside the schools.

Any amount from ₹100 upwards. Every contribution, large or small, goes to the same work.
HIMWATS is income-tax exempt under 80G. Give your PAN on the form and the donation is reported on the society’s return, which is what lets you claim it.
The board of honourEveryone who has given, year by year. Names appear only if the donor asks — never the amount.We are completing the last checks with our payment gateway. Until that is done, the quickest way to give is the UPI QR code — it takes about a minute and the money reaches the society directly. Bank transfer and cheque details are there too.
Every one of those routes carries the same 80G exemption, and we send the same receipt and certificate by email.
Recognition
Six levels, and a medal struck for each. Your name goes on it if you would like it to — the amount never appears.

Where it goes
HIMWATS has no permanent employees. It is run by volunteers and part-time educators, so a donation is not absorbed by salaries or offices before it reaches a school.

Common questions about donating to HIMWATS.
Towards the work you choose on the form — the general fund, scholarships, Adopt A School, the science workshops or the health camps. What has been given to schools, year by year, is published on the impact page.
Card and netbanking payments are handled by Razorpay. The amount is set by the society’s own server rather than by the page, and every payment is verified by signature before a receipt is issued. HIMWATS never sees your card details.
A receipt is emailed as soon as the payment is confirmed. HIMWATS is approved under Clause (ii) of the second proviso to section 80G(5), URN AAAJH0221L25LK02, PAN AAAJH0221L, valid for assessment years 2024-25 to 2028-29. Give your PAN and address on the form and the donation is reported on the society’s Form 10BD return, which is what lets you claim.
Not through this page. Foreign contributions may by law only be paid into the society’s designated FCRA account, which this gateway cannot use. The account details are in the bank transfer section above.
Only if you tick the box asking for it, and only after HIMWATS has approved it. The amount is never shown, and neither is your email, phone, address or PAN. Leave it unticked and the gift is still counted, listed as Anonymous.
