This website is run by Himalaya Water Service Tatha Vikas Avam Paryavaran Sanrakshan Samiti, which works under the name HIMWATS : Savidya. By using this site or donating through it, you accept the terms below.

A society registered under the Indian Societies Act, registration number 758/1997-98 (renewal 73/2004-2005), at the Haldwani Office of Registration of Societies, Uttarakhand.

What this site is for

HIMWATS : Savidya works on education, science teaching, health awareness and the environment in Champawat and the Kumaon hills. This site describes that work and accepts donations towards it.

Nothing on this site is a sale. There is no product, no service and no subscription. A donation is a voluntary gift to the society’s charitable work, and it does not entitle the donor to goods, services, membership, or any say in how the society is run.

Donations

• Donations are accepted in Indian Rupees (INR) only.
• The minimum donation is ₹100.
• You may choose a programme to support. We will apply your gift to that programme wherever we reasonably can; where it is not possible, it goes to the society’s general work.
• We do not store your card, UPI or bank details. Payments are handled by our payment gateway, which is a separate company with its own terms.

Foreign contributions

The online payment route settles into the society’s domestic account and must not be used for a foreign contribution. Under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act a foreign contribution may only be received into the society’s designated FCRA account. If you are giving from outside India, or the money is a foreign contribution as the Act defines it, please write to us first at himwats.office@gmail.com.

Receipts and 80G

A receipt is emailed as soon as a donation is confirmed, so an accurate email address matters.

The society holds approval under Clause (ii) of the second proviso to section 80G(5), URN AAAJH0221L25LK02, granted 10 February 2026 by the CIT Exemption, Lucknow and valid for assessment years 2024-25 to 2028-29.

To claim the deduction you will need Form 10BE, which the Income Tax Department issues after HIMWATS files its annual statement of donations. We send Form 10BE by 31 May following the end of the financial year. For your donation to be reportable at all, we need your name, address and PAN — without them the deduction cannot be claimed, however the donation was made.

What we ask of you

Give information that is accurate and your own. Do not use this site to attempt payment with an instrument you are not entitled to use, and do not attempt to disrupt the site or gain access to anything not meant to be public.

Being named on the donors page

If you ask to be acknowledged, your name alone may appear on our donors page — never an amount, an address, a phone number or an email address. Listing is at the society’s discretion and you may ask to be removed at any time by writing to himwats.office@gmail.com. If you do not ask to be named, you appear as Anonymous.

Content on this site

Text and photographs belong to the society unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to quote or link to this site with attribution. Please ask before reproducing photographs, particularly any showing children.

Where we cannot promise

We keep this site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Figures describing past work are reported in good faith from the society’s own records.

Changes

We may revise these terms. The date at the top of this page is when they last changed, and the terms in force are the ones published here when you donate.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Champawat, Uttarakhand.

Refunds

Donations are voluntary and are generally not refundable. Genuine errors are put right — see the refund and cancellation policy.
