A free medical health camp was held on 16 September at Srijan “A Bright Beginning” school in Champawat, courtesy of HIMWATS, Udai-Kulethi. It ran under the direction and supervision of Dr Govind Ballabh Bist, retired Chief Medical Officer. Shri Prakash Punetha and Pankaj Bohra of the society assisted.
Alongside the general health check-up, the school’s students, teachers and parents had their eyes tested, under the heading Healthy Eyes, Bright Future.
Who made it work
From the school, office head Shri Rajendra Singh Samant gave his full cooperation in running the camp smoothly. The manager, Dr Bhuvan Chandra Joshi, and the principal, Smt Savita Pandey, thanked Dr Bist and the society.
Eight teachers brought their own classes to be seen — Sushila Goswami, Deeksha Joshi, Soni Bist, Shivi Kaushik, Lalita Joshi, Mamta Mahar, Khyati Tripathi and Kavita Joshi. Kamla Mahar, Pooja Pandey, Sarita and Pooja helped with the health and eye screening of the parents.
One hundred children were seen, along with teachers and parents — about 135 people in all.
