A science workshop and health camp at Palso

On 16 October, under the Science Outreach Programme and health awareness programme that HIMWATS runs, the society held an experience-based children’s science workshop at Government Inter College Palso, with the support of UCOST. It ran a free medical and health check-up camp at the school on the same day.

The workshop

The workshop banner reads Experience-Based Children’s Science Workshop 2026-27, with UCOST Uttarakhand as sponsor. Its subject was the microscope: 21 students of Class 7 were trained in using one, and 122 students of the school benefited from it indirectly.

The health camp

At the camp, 121 students, teachers and parents had their eyes examined. Thirteen students were found to have a vision defect.
